The City of Carson's Economic Development Workgroup is looking for qualified homebuyers to benefit from our Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). About the NSP:
The Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) assigned $3.92 billion of emergency assistance nationwide to enable state and local governments to acquire and redevelop foreclosed residential properties. The vacant homes are purchased, rehabilitation and sold to qualifying low and moderate-income purchasers.

NSP 1 versus NSP 2
The City of Carson is involved with two separate Neighborhood Stabilization Programs. Namely,   NSP 1 and NSP 2.  The City of Carson serves as the Administrator of NSP 1 on behalf of the Cities of Carson and Lynwood.   Under NSP 2 the City of Carson is one of three local jurisdiction partners within a consortium lead by the Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services (LA NHS).

NSP 1 - The cities of Carson and Lynwood partnered together to acquire a total of 11  properties.  Under the NSP, qualified participants have access to the following:

• First Time Homebuyer funds

• Rehabilitated NSP Properties for purchase

NSP 2

The City of Carson has partnered with Los Angeles Neighborhood Housing Services (LA NHS) to purchase up to 30 single family residential  properties in the City of Carson.
